The Baltimore, Maryland location is hiring an Integrated Systems Technician. The role plans, directs, and coordinates installation and service activities for a wide range of integrated systems such as fire alarms, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, networking, telecom, audio/video, and more. The technician participates in inspections, oversees repairs, testing, and project completion, often supervising subordinate personnel.
The technician analyzes installation and service needs, conducts tests and inspections, and operates industry‑specific tools to ensure proper execution. Responsibilities also include diagnosing complex problems, developing corrective action plans, managing delays or emergencies, and communicating effectively with coworkers, supervisors, vendors, and job‑site personnel. Additional duties cover planning and delegating work for others, maintaining risk‑management and safety procedures, and participating in service and inspection processes until project completion.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience installing commercial integrated systems and demonstrate strong attention to detail and communication skills. Proficiency in interpreting equipment manuals, electrical plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications is essential, as is the ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision. Candidates must possess reliable transportation, a valid state driver’s license, and be able to pass required background checks; on‑call rotation may be required.
The position pays a competitive hourly wage ranging from $35 to $45, with overtime eligibility. Work hours are Monday‑Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, or out‑of‑town assignments.
