SUE Technician III

Description

• Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to meet project requirements.
• Read and interpret utility records, as‑built and survey drawings, and highway design plans.
• Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies.
• Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck to perform test holes and expose utilities.
• Manage traffic maintenance, submit “One‑Call” tickets, and coordinate related survey work.
• Supervise and train field crew members while ensuring safety and quality.
• Represent Colliers on‑site, communicating and coordinating with utility companies and clients.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience with electromagnetic and geophysical utility designating tools.
• Experience operating vacuum excavation equipment preferred.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent communication and internal collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather, walk several miles daily, and lift up to 80 lb.
• Clean driving record and proficient driving skills.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime, nights/weekends, and prioritize safety.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English for job‑related communications.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $33.00 to $44.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, and the position requires a pre‑employment drug screen plus ongoing participation in random drug and alcohol testing.
