The Assembler III position is based at Caterpillar’s Griffin, Georgia facility. The role involves preparing components, assembling products according to work instructions and blueprints, testing completed units, and performing rigging and equipment moves, while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
- Prepare components and assemble parts following work instructions, SOPs, blueprints, risk assessments, and job routers.
- Test or assist in testing the operation of completed products.
- Perform rigging and equipment moves using overhead cranes and powered vehicles.
- Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards.
- Train, mentor, and assess other assemblers throughout the assembly process.
- Complete the full assembly cycle from start to finish while communicating effectively.
- Perform frequent physical activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

The job requires the ability to work in a fast‑paced, medium‑ to heavy‑duty assembly environment, read and interpret schematics, and operate hand and power tools. Physical demands include frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and standing on concrete for up to ten hours a day.
- Work in a fast‑paced, medium‑to‑heavy duty technical environment.
- Read and understand blueprints and schematics; operate hand, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
- Meet physical requirements: lift up to 35 lb, bend, reach, squat, wear required PPE, and adapt to changing temperatures.
- Minimum two years of equipment assembly or diesel engine mechanic experience.
- Hold rigging and crane certifications; possess power‑vehicle certifications.
Benefits
