In this position you will lead problem‑solving efforts, manage project planning and execution, produce technical documentation, and continuously improve your technical knowledge while fostering positive collaborations across the organization.
The Engineering Technologist III is the third tier of the non‑engineer technical support career path, offering advanced technical expertise and limited supervision. The Senior Engineering Technologist is the fourth tier, requiring minimal supervision and greater latitude for independent, unreviewed work.
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications for their respective level, which include a combination of relevant industry experience, an engineering technology degree (or equivalent experience), and a valid driver’s license. Desired qualifications add specialized distribution design and utility industry experience.
The role follows a hybrid work model with occasional visits to field sites or plants, requires 5–15% travel, and may include relocation assistance when applicable. Duke Energy does not sponsor visas for this position and the role is not a union position.
