The Role

Overview

Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade plant electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.

Tasks

-Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records -Read and interpret Electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications -Work closely with Operations and Mechanical Maintenance personnel -Plan and oversee testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment and tools on a scheduled basis -Comply with internal and corporate policies, procedures and regulations with respect to Health & Safety -Troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices -Maintain spare parts inventory -Respond to emergency situations as necessary -Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and fuse disconnects

What You Bring

-Licensed Industrial Electrician 442A -Work with computers, AC/DC drives, HMI’s and PLC’s -Good communication skills (verbal and written) -Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma is a plus -Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaboratively -The position is subject to shift/weekend work and availability for on-call in emergency -RRSP Match -Must have knowledge of AC/DC Drives, Relay Logic, RS logix 500 and control logix Programming -Minimum of 5 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
