The EH&S Coordinator is responsible for establishing and promoting a safety culture at assigned industrial service sites. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations such as OSHA and MSHA, and works to minimize risks through audits, training, and safety programs. Collaboration with site leadership and various departments supports the organization’s commitment to proactive workforce protection.
Key duties include delivering safety training and new‑hire orientations, enforcing the Site Safety Plan and client guidelines, conducting daily inspections and audits, and leading incident investigations with thorough documentation and root‑cause analysis. The coordinator also maintains accurate safety records in KPA, prepares daily and weekly safety reports, and serves as a communication bridge between operations and the H&S team. Additional responsibilities involve interacting with customer safety teams, regulatory agencies, and driving continuous improvement of safety practices.
Candidates must hold an OSHA 30 certification, have at least two years of experience in heavy‑industrial construction environments, and possess a solid working knowledge of OSHA and related regulations. Desired qualifications include MSHA certification, familiarity with risk‑assessment tools such as JSA or HAZOP, experience conducting safety audits, and certifications in First Aid/CPR. Strong verbal and written communication, proficiency with MS Office and safety management software, and the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels are essential.
Physical requirements include climbing stairs and ladders, walking for extended periods, navigating uneven terrain, and lifting equipment up to 50 pounds. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory DMV background check are required for travel. Employees receive personal time off, comprehensive health benefits and a 401(k) plan with a 100 % match on the first 4 % of contributions, reflecting Loenbro’s commitment to its workforce.
