Overview
1997
Company Origin
The company was established through a management buy-out of Galliford in 1997.
20M
Annual Tonnes Handled
The business processes approximately 20 million tonnes of materials annually, supporting major infrastructure projects.
£383M

50
Locations Operated
The company manages 50 locations, including trading offices and rail depots, to ensure efficient delivery across multiple transport modes.
By coupling bagged landscaping products with bulk materials, it cemented its role in both garden retailers and major infrastructure builds.
It handles materials for landmarks like Crossrail, HS2, Hinkley Point C, and Heathrow T5.
Its growth story accelerated through strategic acquisitions such as Maen Karne in Cornwall and marine freight expert S Walsh & Sons.
It spans sectors from civil engineering and rail to residential, commercial, industrial, marine transport, waste, and recycling.
Unusually, it uses Cornish mine waste as secondary aggregates shipped into London by sea, reducing carbon footprint.
