Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the Advisor will define and implement actions that improve safety, operating efficiency and productivity within the local business. The position may be based at any project site across the United Kingdom.
The Advisor will lead the application of HSE policies on‑site, conduct regular inspections, manage documentation, coordinate pollution control and waste management, and ensure that HSE matters are discussed in project reviews. They will also investigate accidents, drive incident‑prevention initiatives and provide training to staff and subcontractors.
Candidates should have proven experience in health, safety and environmental management within an engineering environment of similar scale, with working knowledge of PSCS duties. Required qualifications include a NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or higher) and IOSH membership, while familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, environmental permitting and COSHH compliance is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ShareFile and Teams, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, is also expected.
