Responsible for day‑to‑day repairs, installations, and maintenance of customer and company equipment according to service work orders. Duties include cleaning, preparing new units for delivery, handling rented or leased equipment, and completing any additional tasks assigned by the Service Department Manager. The technician must keep the work area and vehicles tidy, use tools responsibly, and requisition necessary supplies.
Accurate documentation is essential: record hours, travel time, materials used, and detailed work performed on each order, ensure proper billing and obtain customer signatures, and submit all paperwork promptly. The technician also engages with customers, answering questions, offering recommendations, providing estimates, and collecting satisfaction surveys.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Texas driver’s license, and a Journeyman Plumbing license. Candidates should have at least two years of related construction installation or repair experience, strong independent and team work abilities, and excellent communication skills in English.
The role requires frequent lifting of up to 100 lb, standing or sitting for long periods, and occasional stooping, kneeling, and stretching. Work is performed in typical construction settings with noise, temperature extremes, and moving machinery; schedules may vary based on demand.
