Support process improvement initiatives, including cleanup of legacy documentation and workflows.
Create and revise mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor for manufacturing and fabrication.
Apply knowledge of tolerances and tolerance stack-up to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on fabrication feasibility and optimization.
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the development of standardized procedures.
Investigate and resolve design-related issues through root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
Collaborate with solution engineers, shop floor staff, and external vendors to resolve design and production issues.

Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Engineering or related technical field.
Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD
Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Experience with document management software (e.g., Vault, SharePoint) is an asset.
Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail in drawings and documentation.
Strong understanding of metalwork fabrication methods.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), SAP or ERP systems is an asset.
Ability to work independently on assigned orders, with occasional collaboration on complex projects.
Awareness of cost implications related to dimensioning and fabrication choices.
3D CAD experience is required, Autodesk Inventor is preferred.
