In this role you will evaluate the cybersecurity functionalities of products, fulfil security compliance requirements, and conduct threat modelling and security assessments. You will harden operating systems and network devices, verify cybersecurity features on control‑system components, handle product vulnerabilities, and ensure adherence to external and internal regulations while embodying Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.
A bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in engineering is required, along with 2‑6 years of cybersecurity experience. Candidates should understand cybersecurity principles such as defense‑in‑depth, least‑privilege and AAA, and be familiar with controls like IDS/IPS, hardening, and NGFW. Knowledge of IEC 62443, ISO 27001, networking, patch management, and protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SSH, etc.) is essential, as is hands‑on experience with Python, PowerShell, NMAP, Nessus and Wireshark. Familiarity with IEC 61850, GOOSE, Modbus, Windows and VM administration, and certifications such as CEH, CISSP or CISA are advantageous. Strong collaboration, mentoring, intercultural sensitivity and excellent English communication skills are also required.
