The role requires adherence to company SOPs, development of winning strategies, maintenance of the estimating database, and collaboration with project management and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Estimator may also oversee the Estimating and BIM departments and is expected to maintain regular attendance and comply with the company’s code of conduct.
- Prepare labor and material cost estimates for commercial/industrial electrical projects.
- Draft and submit responses to RFPs and RFQs.
- Follow Estimating SOPs and develop win‑strategy proposals.
- Maintain and update the estimating database and bid log.
- Build and sustain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Mentor and support Estimators and Estimator Trainees.
- Review estimating staff performance and act as first point of contact for the team.
- Coordinate estimates with Project Management and construction personnel.
- Generate bills of material and conduct field walk‑downs for constructability.
- Perform field take‑offs, document comparison, and estimate reviews.
- Assist with change order preparation and post‑project cost tracking.
- Manage Estimating and BIM departments as needed.

Candidates must have at least five years of electrical construction estimating experience, a solid understanding of the NEC and local codes, and the ability to read and interpret multi‑disciplinary construction documents. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Accubid or similar estimating software, strong analytical and communication skills, and a self‑driven, team‑player mindset are essential.
