Staying current with the latest climate science, planning requirements, and available modeling resources.
Master’s degree in civil engineering, sustainability, water resources, or a related field.
Direct experience in resilience and planning in addition to engineering.
Additional training or coursework in climate change adaptation, resilience planning, or a related field is an added benefit.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in climate change adaptation and resilience, including data collection and analysis, research and reporting, and policy analysis.
Strong professional abilities, including the ability to perform complex tasks, relate to others, make evaluations and decisions, accept responsibility, express ideas, and work within schedule and budget constraints.
Proactive communicator, both internally and externally, working effectively with junior and senior project staff.
0-4 years of professional experience in the water and/or wastewater industry.
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, water resources, environmental planning, climate science, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to adapt and work independently or as part of a team on multiple priority projects and deadlines and manage time effectively.
Experience with risk and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
Ability to collect, compile, analyze, and manage large, quantitative and qualitative datasets.
Knowledge of publicly available climate data sources and databases.
Demonstrated experience in climate change vulnerability assessments and resilience planning.
Registration as a Professional Engineer preferred.
