You will take ownership of tender pricing from first principles through to handover, working closely with directors, commercial teams, and delivery managers. This is a senior, trusted role with real influence over how projects are priced, risk-managed, and delivered.

Evaluate and benchmark subcontractor returns for commercial and technical compliance
Identify risk, opportunity, and value-engineering options within tenders
Subcontract procurement and package analysis
Manage and coordinate subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring full scope coverage
Lead the preparation of accurate, competitive tenders for new build and refurbishment projects
Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and internal teams during bid stages
Ensure a clear and structured handover of successful tenders to the construction and commercial teams.
Review and interrogate drawings, specifications, schedules, and the employer’s requirements
Tender documentation and bid submissions
Construction estimating and cost planning
Carry out site visits and pre-tender meetings as required
Present pricing summaries and tender clarifications to senior management
Prepare detailed cost plans, take-offs, and pricing models

As part of our continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to play a key role in securing and shaping future work.

Confident communicator with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
Experience with estimating software (Causeway preferred)
Strong Excel skills
Understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement routes
Calm under pressure with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Degree or HNC/HND in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or similar (preferred but not essential)
Proven experience in pricing, design & build and traditional contracts
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a UK principal contractor
Experience across residential, commercial, industrial, or public-sector projects
Collaborative mindset and strong team ethic
Able to work autonomously and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
Commercially astute with strong attention to detail

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Car Allowance (DOE)
