CMT Field Technician

Overview

Perform on-site construction material testing and report results for projects in SE Texas.

Tasks

-Performs field quality control tests of in place concrete. -Relays information to project manager and/or engineer, with limited in-field decision making. -Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Senior Engineer. -Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and assists other departments as necessary. -Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically. -Follows Atlas’ safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures. -Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials. -Transports equipment, test specimens and/or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.

What You Bring

-High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. -Construction related experience -ACI Certification a must -1-3 years previous Construction Materials Testing Experience. -Travels to various construction sites primarily throughout the Southeast Texas area with the potential for overnight and/or weekend as needed.
