Survey Engineer

Description

The Survey Engineer is responsible for conducting topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys using total stations, GPS, and other advanced equipment. They process and analyze survey data, produce reports and maps, and ensure quality control while supervising junior staff. The role requires collaboration with engineers, project managers, clients, and contractors to address survey issues, maintain compliance with plans, and follow on‑site safety protocols.

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys using total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Analyze survey data and generate reports, maps, and drawings for project teams.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to deliver accurate survey information on schedule.
• Monitor, calibrate, and maintain survey equipment to ensure functionality.
• Train and supervise junior survey staff in proper techniques and procedures.
• Review project plans and specifications to confirm survey requirements are met.
• Perform quality control checks to verify accuracy and completeness of survey data.
• Maintain comprehensive field notes, sketches, and digital records of survey work.
• Communicate survey findings and resolve issues with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures on job sites.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering and possess at least ten years of survey engineering experience, preferably in construction. Proficiency with surveying tools, AutoCAD, and strong knowledge of surveying principles are essential, along with excellent communication skills in English and Arabic. The candidate should be able to work independently or in a team, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and be willing to travel to project sites.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum ten years of experience as a Survey Engineer, preferably within construction.
• Proficient with total stations, GPS, laser scanners, and related surveying equipment.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and procedures.
• Experience using AutoCAD and other survey software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
