A global leader in power management, providing energy-efficient solutions for various industries.
As a Test Technician you will support engineering development test activity and operational product testing, primarily based in Wimborne with occasional off‑site or AAR rig support, reporting to the Test Engineering Manager or supervisor.
Primary responsibilities include area asset control, monitoring equipment calibration, organising equipment returns and collections, and managing access, asset allocations and maintenance of test areas.
Secondary responsibilities involve providing technical test advice, setting up and performing pyro‑mechanical weapons release testing and AAR rig tests, compiling and recording engineering test data, implementing process controls, and offering high‑speed camera support as needed.
The role also requires initial test data analysis, fault finding on data acquisition systems, completion and review of departmental risk assessments, preventative maintenance activity, and upkeep of 5S principles to keep test areas clean and tidy.

Desired skills cover effective teamwork, emotional intelligence, strong ethics, problem‑solving creativity, change management, time and priority management, understanding of production KPIs, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Additional experience that would be advantageous includes handling and storage of explosives, knowledge of pyro‑mechanical ejector release systems, high‑speed data acquisition methods, proven fault‑finding abilities, and the ability to work with US ITAR‑controlled technology, subject to additional screening.
