Production Supervisor

Overview

Supervises production shift, overseeing safety, quality, output, and staff.

Tasks

-Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. -Maintains time and production records. -Collaborates with other management to coordinate production activities with other departments. -Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. -Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. -Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines. -Analyzes and resolves work issues and assists & coaches employees in solving work problems. -Using your continuous improvement mindset, recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance & quality of product. -Responsible for documenting shift incidents and accidents -Improve production goals & KPIs

What You Bring

-Steel, slitting, coil coating, and other steel related experience strongly preferred -Willing and able to work an afternoon or night shift position -Ability to work long & irregular hours in response to customer demands and production matters. -Strong mechanical aptitude -Process control experience a plus. -3 to 5 years in a plant environment. -Ability to train, motivate, and direct production employees. -Excellent communication & leadership abilities -HS Diploma or equivalent required. College degree a plus.
