Bid on tendered work, where required and where it matches the company strategy and brings value to the company.
Negotiate trucking rates for independent truckers.
Budget volume of sales and pricing on individual products for the year and monitors these metrics to aid in developing contingency plans to ensure targets are achieved.
Act as first contact or follow up for customers with problems and complaints.
Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel regarding customer requirements, changes to existing orders and status of potential orders.
Monitor daily inventory of primary products to ensure accurate reporting.
Attend Ready Mix sales meetings to improve inter-divisional collaboration, communication, and the sharing of information and ideas.
Arrange scheduling of independent truckers and ensures they are always available and their behaviour meets CBM standards.
Communicate with operations to maintain focus on reserve management to balance aggregate production with sales.
Provide assistance to the Credit department, where required to develop plans on how to collect on certain customer accounts.
Develop new ideas and plans to utilize by-products (i.e. excess aggregate products).

Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and solve problems
Valid Ontario G Class drivers license, with access to personal vehicle

Previous experience in sales, with a focus on customer relationship management
