Description

The HVAC Lead Install Technician oversees all aspects of residential HVAC projects, ensuring high‑quality and efficient service delivery. This includes managing complex installations, providing technical expertise, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. The technician also handles customer interactions, resolves issues, and strives for customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a clean work environment, managing inventory and tools, and contributing to team training and development.

• Install, upgrade, and/or replace HVAC systems in residential homes with precision.
• Cut, thread, and connect pipes (copper or PVC) and handle high and low voltage wiring.
• Train and mentor Install Helpers on job sites and in the shop, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with homeowners.
• Handle physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and moving objects weighing over 50 pounds.
• Maintain tools, parts, and the vehicle in an organized and clean condition.
• Perform work safely at heights, in tight spaces (e.g., attics), and under various weather conditions (extreme heat or cold).
• Ensure adherence to appliance standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and service standards.
• Climb ladders, access attics, navigate tight spaces, drive, enter crawlspaces, push, carry, pull, use hand tools, and perform fine detail work.
• Stand, walk, sit, talk, hear in person or by phone.
• Use hands to handle objects, reach with arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch.
• Work in indoor/outdoor environments with extreme temperatures and adverse weather.

• 1+ year of HVAC experience, ideally residential, with hands‑on technical skills.
• Valid driver’s license with at least three years driving experience.
• Valid EPA certification.
• Advanced troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Strong customer‑service focus.
• Lift 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally.
