Sr Quantity Surveyor - Aldar FW

Description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor role, based in Abu Dhabi, reports to the Commercial Manager and is responsible for estimating, cost control, cash‑flow management and reporting on assigned work packages.

In this position you will manage financial estimates, review bid documents, analyse contractor cost reports and coordinate with package managers, consultants and contractors to ensure accurate reporting and proactive cost management.

• Prepare and maintain cost estimates, budgets, cost reports and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Review and comment on bid submissions and contract award recommendation reports.
• Estimate value‑engineering options and lifecycle costs for projects.
• Analyse consultants' and contractors' cost reports and cash‑flow statements.
• Coordinate financial information with package managers, consultants and contractors.
• Produce monthly and weekly financial and progress reports.
• Maintain HSE awareness in all activities.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a BSc in Quantity Surveying and MRICS membership, with at least 15 years of total experience, including 10 years in a senior surveying role and five years working in the Middle East. A strong grasp of engineering and commercial aspects of major civil infrastructure, expertise in conceptual estimating, cost planning and forecasting, and advanced MS Excel skills are required; Primavera and Contracts Manager experience are advantageous. Fluency in English is essential, with Arabic a plus.

• Proficient in advanced MS Excel; experienced with MS Office, Primavera and Contracts Manager preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exhibit commercial awareness and strong customer focus.
• Skilled in planning, organising and accepting responsibility.
