  • Strategy Formulation: Develop tender strategies and execution plans with capture teams that align with customer expectations and needs, including commercial setup, internal setup, and value proposition.
  • Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process, ensuring new employees in the department are integrated into the team and understanding their roles and responsibilities.
  • Learning and Development: Identifying learning and development needs and plans of employees and ensuring relevant actions are taken to meet business strategy and targets.
  • Cost Management: Oversee target costs related to the tender strategy, ensuring competitiveness, and monitor cost-related aspects during the tender process.
  • Negotiation: Support Bid managers and participate when required in technical and commercial negotiations, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the tendering and sales process.
  • Resource Planning: Planning the resources required to execute business strategies, including hiring & staffing for opportunities.
  • Collaboration and Team Building: Cultivate interdependent relationships and facilitate team dynamics across the region.
  • Tender Team Management: Provide guidance and support to ensure efficient and on-schedule task completion. Facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders and oversee the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures and manage the documentation of deviations and clarifications. Establish best in class process along the Tender stream, from Sales handover to handover to execution.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure a positive customer experience by providing necessary support during negotiations and meetings with customers.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify and quantify technical and commercial risks and opportunities during the tender phase and execution. Develop mitigation actions and transfer learnings to new opportunities.
  • Tender Planning: Coordinate the preparation of the contract and bid documents, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained throughout the process.
  • Travel throughout the UK with opportunities for offshore working.
  • Performance Management: annual appraises team performance, set targets, and discuss development plans and career aspirations with employees.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade Customers and Stake-holders at all levels.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey ideas clearly, challenge constructively, and influence at all levels. Build strong networks and foster open dialogue.
  • Proven experience in managing direct reports and leading large-scale project bids, preferably in the offshore sector.
  • An electrical or business degree to support experience who has demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement.
