The Mission Critical Technician IV is an expert-level HVAC technician responsible for executing advanced diagnostic, service, and maintenance work on highly complex commercial and mission‑critical systems. This role demands deep technical knowledge, consistent quality of work, and strict adherence to safety, efficiency, and operational standards. While not a leadership position, the technician operates independently and serves as a highly skilled field resource on challenging job sites.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma (technical school preferred), have eight to ten years of commercial HVAC experience with at least three years in mission‑critical settings, possess OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred), EPA Universal certification, and a valid driver’s license. The position requires the ability to work independently in high‑pressure environments while delivering quality results and exercising strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
The job requires lifting up to 75 lb, standing for extended periods, and working in tight, overhead, or elevated spaces using ladders or lifts. Workers must be comfortable in varied indoor and outdoor conditions and must use full personal protective equipment, including gloves, respirators, and hearing protection.
