This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote work with time in the office. You will lead a project team of engineers and designers to design, modify, and analyze electrical systems that support the processing of nuclear material, nuclear waste treatment, storage, disposal, and commercial nuclear power plants. The role involves challenging assignments such as designing, investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
As the Electrical team lead, you will coordinate detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work, ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and align system designs with specifications, codes, and client requirements. You will prepare and review calculations—including arc flash, voltage drop, fault current, and lighting—create documentation for drawing production, interface with vendors for material and equipment specifications, and produce technical reports that meet client and S&L formats. Additionally, you will conduct independent reviews of others' work and mentor less experienced engineers while sharing knowledge through S&L’s Communities of Practice.
