Coordinates with internal disciplines, outside consultants, contractors, and public entities. Participates in business development activities such as responses to RFPs and attending presentations.
Runs weekly internal project meetings including the MESC engineering staff.
Collaborates with the Program Manager on schedule, resources, and billing status. May support in drafting proposals for individual projects.
Mentors and directs less experienced staff in completion of the projects.
Occasionally attends site visits for planning, building surveys, and inspections during construction.
Occasionally attends scoping walks with the client.
Conducts after action meetings and lessons learned with the entire project team.
Communicates with the client regularly including weekly calls and providing weekly status reports.
Communicates with the Program Managers aligned with and the Director of Healthcare regularly.
Reviews the technical drawings prior to QA/QC review and submittal and ensures QA/QC and company standards are upheld.
Oversees the design of the projects through all phases, giving direction to the team and checking their work relative to the program, client expectations, and regulations.

Possess strong communication skills, professional writing and the ability to manage several projects and priorities at one time.
Registered Architect with a Bachelor of Architecture or Master’s degree in Architecture.
Ability to lead and mentor staff.
Experience with planning and overseeing team resources including internal and external partners.
Proficient in various software including Revit and AutoCad as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with all phases of the project from planning, design, documentation, specifications, bidding and various construction delivery methods, and construction administration and close out.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in architectural design with a focus on Healthcare projects.
Understanding of building code and applicable healthcare standards.
Demonstrated experience with working directly with clients and building relationships.
Medical planning and design experience, preferred.
Experience in the field of architectural design and documentation. Relevant experience in the healthcare industry is required.
