What you would be doing

  • Analyze and diagnose machine and tooling problems, take corrective measures to resolve safety concerns, minimize downtime and interruption of schedules
  • Coordinate and provide production leadership to assigned teams to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost initiatives
  • Review production orders and implement production schedules
  • Assist Cell Leader with decision making in areas of process improvement and/or production to make appropriate resource decisions to facilitate execution of repairs processes
  • Perform administrative duties to support the business (not limited to time sheet review and approval, labor vouchering, requisitions for material, workforce schedules)
  • Coordinate all first line activities (i.e. Methods, Production Control) to assure the meeting of safety procedures, production schedules and customer satisfaction, cost goals, and maintaining the highest standards of quality across multiple shifts
  • Solve problems, set direction, eliminate process waste, own visual management through Daily Management System for the department
  • Coach and motivate team in safety, quality, individual performance/development, and productivity improvements
  • Provide on-going support in scheduling resources and facilitating the workflow to meet customer requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • 2+ years of heavy duty machining experience
  • Willing and able to work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays when needed
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and practices
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Power Generation or Heavy Industrial leadership experience
  • Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
  • Prior leadership experience in similar industry (IE: Lead, Influencer, SME)
  • Ability to counsel and motivate workforce
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing role
  • Practice sound human relations and communications skills to influence team
  • 3+ years prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, repair or services environment
  • Strong team building skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
