Coordinate with facilities/architecture, civil, structural, and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Oversee the review of design deliverables, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely submission.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Engage with a design-build team as they design and integrate rail systems including traction power, signaling, communications, SCADA, and train control systems. Provide direction and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist with building a strong culture among the consultant (DBPM) team, including with direct reports and subject matter experts, with emphasis on collaboration, trust, and accountability.
Work actively to drive the process and advance the project.
Support project management in scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Interface with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to align design objectives and resolve technical issues.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.
What you bring

Proven experience in traction electrification and other rail systems disciplines.
Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and BIM platforms is a plus.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Strong understanding of U.S. rail standards, including AREMA, NFPA, and IEEE.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience on operations and maintenance facilities, or other buildings, is preferred.
Minimum 12 years of experience in rail systems engineering, with a focus on design leadership.
Work in person at the project office is preferred.
Experience on progressive design-build projects, or similar collaborative delivery, is preferred.
