Sr. Application Engineer I

Description

• Encouraging, collaborative team environment
• Design fire alarm systems per customer standards, building codes, and NFPA 72
• Review MEP drawings and tender specifications to identify fire alarm requirements
• Prepare fire alarm layout and engineering bill of materials
• Conduct input studies, raise RFIs, and deliver quality‑assured, defect‑free drawings
• Independently execute projects throughout the lifecycle while adhering to processes and timelines

Requirements

• BE in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication
• 5–8 years of relevant fire‑alarm design experience
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, IBC, and related codes
• Proficiency in hardware detail design, battery and voltage‑drop calculations
• Hands‑on ACAD experience; Simplex product knowledge a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: NICET Level I & II certification; Simplex Product Certification; familiarity with Simplex, Notifier, Siemens, EST products
