What you would be doing
- Attends technical and safety training programs to continually upgrade skills.
- Operates heavy rail bound equipment such as belt grinders, block grinders, speeders, unimogs and trains.
- Operates motor vehicles with valid BC driver’s licence.
- Handles emergencies and failures in accordance with established procedures through immediate response and quick action.
- Accounts for all materials used in performance of their duties.
- Implements work permits and returns area to appropriate responsible authority upon completion.
- Works under the direction of the Supervisor or Technician to accomplish scheduled or unscheduled maintenance functions on the guideway.
