  • Reporting KPI’s back to the UK SHEQ Manager
  • Ensuring all Non conformances, accidents/incidents (SHEQ) are reported and closed out in accordance with Prysmian procedures.
  • Working closely with the environmental and sustainability lead to ensure project sustainability targets are achieved.
  • Construct Haul Roads
  • Assessing key indicators such as near misses and observations and putting in preventative measures in place.
  • Construct Road / Ditch Crossings
  • Ensuring any investigations into accidents etc are full with root causes identified and actions in place for prevention.
  • Review and modify Safety, Environmental and Quality plans.
  • Promoting a good health and safety culture throughout the team and site.
  • RAMS creation, review and issuances of permit to work for high risk activities.

  • Will be customer facing, feel comfortable managing tier contractors and previous experience of managing a small team.
  • Previously held a similar position on Renewable Energy, HVDC or Transmission Projects.
  • Competent and proficient onshore civil and energy construction projects.
  • Ducts recleaned immediately prior to cable installation
  • Nationally recognized certificate or equivalent in Health and Safety (NEBOSH, NVQ, NCRQ)
  • Proficient in ALARP Risk Management Principles
  • Knowledge of, and be conversant in ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems
  • Ideally have previous Scottish Power / Iberdrola and/or National Grid project experience, however, not essential.
  • Reinstatement and demarcation fencing removed
  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety Managers role.
  • A member of IOSH
  • Comfortable writing project plans and procedures to manage health and safety.
  • Application, 2) HR interview, 3) Hiring Manager interviews and 4) Online assessment (30min)
  • Cable jointing, splicing and associated progressive testing
  • Fully conversant in UK Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Demonstrating a high level of health and safety leadership
  • Hold a valid CSCS or CCNSG Card
  • Worked previously for a Principal Contractor under UK CDM Regulations.
