Regional Safety Manager
Carlisle Construction Materials

Lead and coordinate safety programs across multiple manufacturing sites.
Conduct comprehensive policy audits throughout all assigned plants and other Carlisle facilities.
Prepare, implement, and execute safety training, site leader on-boarding and mentoring.
Track OSHA recordable incidents, rates and trends.
Participate in the strategic planning of manufacturing process and facility modifications to ensure that potential environmental and safety related consequences are considered.
Assist the EH&S Director in facilitation of ongoing regional EH&S calls.
Manage/execute targeted EHS projects throughout assigned plants and CWT.
Manufacturing Plant environment where the plants may be dirty, dusty, and hotter/colder than office settings.
Attend required Regional and CWT management team meetings and safety committees.
Work side by side with site Safety Champions implementing and maintaining site-specific integrated safety plans, EHS standard work and other Carlisle safety programs.
Lead, track and review assigned site EHS incidents for complete root causes, trends, corrective action completion and regional read-across applicability.
Regular strategic communication with EH&S Director, site leadership and EHS champions.
Regularly report safety performance measures to leadership.
Serve as primary regional advisor regarding all safety issues for site leadership teams, supervisors, local safety committees and hourly associates.
Stay current on industry trends, issues and technological innovation.
Assist the EH&S Director in strategic planning across the region which includes incident response, compliance implementation, training and continuous improvement.
Maintain company compliance with all appropriate OSHA and state safety regulations and maintain appropriate reporting and accountability systems.
Maintain close contact with government and members of the local safety communities.
Acts as a coach and mentor to site leaders regarding safety tools, concepts, and mindset.

Must have demeanor such that facilities view role as help to their safety system.
Ability to leverage continuous improvement tools and techniques to sustain EHS implementation.
Valid Driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 50% overnight.
Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field and / or relevant equivalent education
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a health and safety role, manufacturing or processing preferred – multi site EHS management experience is preferred.
Ability to forge the right relationships with associates, site leaders, regulatory officials, and corporate executives to communicate the company’s safety and environmental health policies and accomplishments.
Ability to build consensus and positively influence a diverse group of co-workers without direct control.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Fluency in Microsoft Office programs for policy development, training, tracking and reporting.
Travel required up to 50% to assist regional facilities in meeting EHS expectations.
Intermediate knowledge of environmental compliance is preferred; must have willingness to expand current knowledge to include other topics.
EHS related certification by a professional EHS association preferred (ASP, CSP, CIH…)
