Description

• Support the transition of leadership as the current GM prepares for retirement
• Work directly with the VP on performance, process improvements, and strategic initiatives
• Maintain high standards of quality and organization across the site
• Ensure timely, accurate deliveries and optimal utilization of yard and trucking resources
• Oversee facility operations, inventory management, trucking, and warehouse maintenance

Our client, a small but highly successful wood and lumber distribution company, is preparing for an exciting new chapter as their long-tenured General Manager transitions toward retirement. They’re seeking a capable and grounded professional to join the team, learn the business, and ultimately step into a senior leadership role.

• Proven experience in the lumber or wood products industry – non-negotiable
• Strong background in facilities or operations management
• Excellent attitude, work ethic, and ability to lead by example
• Hands-on leader willing to jump on a forklift or help with deliveries when needed
• Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced environment (team of ~6)
