Performs general cleanup and maintenance of your work area. Maintains storage areas in an efficient and orderly manner.
Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, to route materials. Determines proper loading procedures for all shipment modes.
Operates a lift truck in the yard, moving material around and following FIFO procedures.
Responsible for properly handling materials and equipment to minimize the potential for damage and injury.
Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies, for purposes of reporting, accounting, and record keeping.
Distributes material to the various production areas in a manner that complements productivity. Moves finished goods to the shipping area as needed.
Checks material movement transactions for accurate part numbers, quantities, and locations.
Loads and unloads containers, flat beds, and any other form of transportation of Malarkey materials.
Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
Participates in various projects in the yard as assigned by the lead or supervisor.
Stages and organizes pallets of product in the yard as directed. Performs light quality control to ensure products are going to the correct areas.
Assists and directs drivers through the yard for loading and unloading.
Examines incoming and outgoing materials. Compares shipments with records, (such as manifests, invoices or orders) to verify accuracy before receiving or shipping products.
Work closely with the team to rectify discrepancies with damaged products, shortages, and non-conformance to quality specifications.

Working with a diverse population requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be reliable, able to work independently and in team settings, always maintain a positive attitude, and remain calm in stressful situations.
Two years of experience operating sit-down forklift trucks (propane and/or electric) with the ability to operate them safely in congested areas.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to perform basic math calculations with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
