The Global Account Manager will lead relationships with influential banking institutions, acting as the strategic lead for a portfolio of global bank clients. Reporting to the Head of Financial Sales, the role involves driving revenue growth, deepening partnerships, and placing Wood Mackenzie’s research and analytics at the heart of client decision‑making within a flexible hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities include exceeding ambitious revenue targets through global renewals and expansion, identifying and closing cross‑sector growth opportunities, and building a forward‑looking pipeline via insight‑led selling. The manager will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, deepen multi‑level relationships, proactively manage retention risks, and develop tailored account plans that align Wood Mackenzie’s value with client objectives. Leadership will extend to orchestrating global account teams, championing the client voice internally, coordinating across a matrixed organization, and staying ahead of capital‑market and energy trends to uncover new opportunities.
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and have 7+ years of enterprise B2B sales success, preferably in financial services or capital markets. A proven record of exceeding $4M+ in annual sales, experience with six‑ and seven‑figure deal cycles, and deep understanding of banking workflows are required. Strong negotiation, executive stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills are essential, along with proficiency in Salesforce CRM and a strong network within the banking ecosystem.
