Support engineering team with regards reliability improvements to rolling stock assets
Install, assemble traction and rolling stock components using engineering processes and techniques
Train driving, Fire warden, First Aider
Identify, assess and rectify defects and discrepancies on Hitachi rolling stock assets
Prepare for and undertake the removal and replacement of traction and rolling stock components
Train driving assessment and licence

Comfortable working alone or in a team
Outstanding Safety Awareness gained in an operational railway engineering environments.
Engineering based NVQ level 3 – Electrical bias would be advantageous
Highly experienced in undertaking preventative and corrective rolling stock maintenance on modern rolling stock. To include modern fault finding and repair techniques using pc based laptops and remote train diagnostics.
Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Experience of supporting a maintenance team on a shift basis in a modern rolling stock maintenance depot environment.
Experience of performing modifications and campaigns on modern rolling stock.
Reading electrical, pneumatic, mechanical schematics and drawings reading
Extensive experience of modern maintenance management systems (MMS) and associated reliability and available trend analysis.
Working at Height, COSHH, Manual handling, AC Depot isolation
Sound knowledge of, and compliance to, rules and regulations (internal and external)
Calm and diplomatic under pressure, able to support, teach and mentor.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to interface effectively with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company.
M & E ONC or served apprenticeship with mechanical, electrical disciplines or equivalent proven railway experience.
