A typical day involves drafting small and large commercial, industrial, public works, and park projects, ensuring site geometry, utilities, erosion control, grading, and drainage plans meet client and CEI standards. Designers also research deeds, ordinances, technical reports, and applicable codes to maintain compliance.
By reviewing surveys, field notes, maps, and aerial photos, the CAD Designer identifies constraints and helps keep projects on schedule and budget. Collaboration with project managers and design staff includes status updates, addressing challenges, and incorporating redlines and revisions.
- Draft site development plans including geometry, utilities, erosion control, grading, and drainage.
- Research deeds, ordinances, technical reports, and municipal, state, and federal codes for compliance.
- Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, and aerial photographs to identify project constraints.
- Collaborate with project managers and design staff to provide updates and address plan revisions.
- Apply redlines and revisions promptly to maintain accurate drawings.
