Manage and mentor junior members of the commercial team
Price and agree project variations with clients and subcontractors, maintaining clear records
Support pre-construction activities alongside the bid and contracts teams
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain, including managing standard rate agreements
Prepare contractual notices and administer subcontract conditions in line with company procedures
Maintain well-organised commercial files (electronic and hard copy)
Follow up on payments and keep senior management informed of any issues
Take full commercial responsibility for allocated projects, including monthly cost reporting
Prepare and submit accurate valuations, supported by regular site visits
Ensure timely and fair resolution of final accounts with clients and subcontractors

We are working with a well-established civil engineering specialist who are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. A strong civils background is essential, and experience in the water utilities sector is highly advantageous.

Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior team members effectively
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management principles
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in a civils environment
Experience in the water utilities sector is desirable
