

X-energy develops advanced nuclear reactors for clean, reliable energy production.
This role supports the Fuel Process Training group by applying the Systematic Approach to Training and the ADDIE model to develop training material for technical data and safety disciplines. The position helps operators, technicians, and other plant staff acquire the skills needed to safely operate and maintain the facility while complying with regulator, company, supplier, and client requirements. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, learning, and continuous improvement.
Working within the Fuel Process Training group, the incumbent will ensure training solutions meet regulatory standards, maintain accurate training records, and coordinate course logistics such as notifications and scheduling. The employee will also stay informed about best practices in adult training to keep the program effective and up‑to‑date.
The position is defined across four levels: Level II provides guided supervision, Level III works with minimal supervision, Level IV leads execution with independent judgment, and senior Level IV members mentor junior staff, share industry best practices, and lead small teams to deliver high‑quality training on time and within budget.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least five years of experience in a nuclear, chemical, or safety‑training environment. Preferred candidates have hands‑on technical or operational experience and have developed training for highly regulated industries. Experience expectations are roughly three years for Level II, five years for Level III, and ten years for Level IV.
The role is based at 151 Lafayette Drive, Suite 300, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and a requirement of five days in the office. Travel is expected to be about ten percent of the time.
