Fleet Mechanic

Description

• Performs thorough and accurate Preventative Maintenance inspections
• Maintains tools and workplaces so that conditions are neat and orderly
• Completes all required preventative maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation
• Must operate non-CDL vehicles (light-duty) to perform road tests, as well as shuttle in and out of the garage for repairs and maintenance
• Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately

Requirements

• Able to safely lift 100 pounds
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
• Complete set of tools required
• Valid driver’s license - must be able to meet all requirements to operate commercial vehicles
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to operate bench grinder, torch, welder, oil pumps, power washer, brake lathe and other hand tools required to perform work
• High School diploma or GED
• Must be thoroughly familiar with all safety provisions associated with vehicle maintenance
• Minimum of 3 year of verifiable automotive mechanic experience
