We are seeking a Stakeholder Relations Advisor to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project. The role ensures contractors meet stakeholder commitments, acts as the first point of contact for enquiries, and facilitates timely information flow while identifying root causes of public issues and collaborating on solutions.
Key duties include building strong relationships with contractors, construction managers and the City of Calgary Green Line team, monitoring construction schedules to anticipate impacts, and acting as a liaison to manage issues and propose mitigation strategies. The advisor also tracks stakeholder enquiries, creates issue notes and Q&A materials, and manages City requests by providing accurate, timely information.
The position requires 1‑2 days per week at the Calgary GL offices and 2‑3 days at construction site offices along the 16‑km southeast alignment, a valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and willingness to travel across the site. The role involves working primarily in‑person on active construction sites with appropriate orientation and escort.
Candidates should have post‑secondary education combined with experience in stakeholder relations, issues management or infrastructure projects; certification such as PMP or public engagement is an asset. Strong political acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, meticulous organization and the ability to thrive under pressure are essential.
