Ensure that legal documents comply with applicable laws and regulations and work with Management on the obtaining of relevant internal approvals
Work with Management to protect and safeguard FPL Group’s intellectual property rights including trademarks
Review and negotiate on legal documentation relating to transactions of FPL Group, including mergers and acquisitions, financing and fund raising from equity or debt capital market
Liaise with external counsel and FPL Finance and/or Tax departments on the structuring of transactions and the conduct of legal due diligence, and advise Management on the same
Attend to legal issues arising from FPL Group’s business operations including reviewing and advising on contracts and any legal/regulatory issues arising from time to time
Provide advice and assistance on compliance with regulatory requirements including under SGX-ST listing rules and MAS regulations for managers of real estate investment trusts
Work with external counsel to deal with legal disputes, claims and investigations concerning any of the FPL Group entities, including reviewing and advising on the merits of the claims/disputes and advising on dispute resolution processes and proceedings
