  • Trim components for joints to ensure a snug fit using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
  • Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on paper or timber according to specifications.
  • Glue, fit, and clamp parts and subassemblies together using clamps or a clamping machine to form complete units.
  • Study blueprints or drawings to plan the sequence of cutting or shaping operations.
  • Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and use various hand tools to fabricate and repair wooden cabinets and high-grade furniture.
  • Bore holes for screws or dowels manually or with a boring machine.
