HR Business Partner

Description

The role is focused on the provision of proactive HR generalist advice and guidance to managers, providing appropriate and timely ER / IR support and equipping leaders with the right skills, tools and information to effectively manage their workforce.

• Supporting key strategic HR initiatives as well as specialist HR programs across the business.
• Maintain effective working relationships with relevant union and or industry representatives
• Provide guidance, support, and resolution strategies on all disciplinary, employment relationship, and industrial relationship matters
• Managing multiple people priorities with a focus on results driven outcomes.
• Drive the development and implementation of people change initiatives, including embedding change management and helping leaders and manage the impact of change
• Provide advice and support to both employees and leadership teams

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will have a high level of emotional intelligence with the ability to influence and engage with individuals across all levels. You will thrive in a changing environment where no two days are the same and as such be flexible and resilient in managing priorities.

• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or an associated discipline
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Proven HR experience in a unionised environment
• Demonstrated experience working with ER and IR issues, including negotiating EBA’s
• Robust knowledge and working experience with Australian employment law
• Experience in a similar level influencing role, managing complex stakeholders
