The Make‑Ready Technician ensures that vacant apartments meet Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing by performing technical and mechanical work to turn homes market‑ready. This includes completing repairs, caulking, sheetrock inspection, paint touch‑ups, and other improvements before new residents move in. The role supports timely occupancy and upholds the company’s standards for safety, cost‑control, and customer service.
The technician follows the community’s make‑ready checklist to repair and improve units, seals windows and fixtures, repairs or replaces damaged sheetrock, and performs touch‑up painting as directed. They also maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage. Documentation of work completion and adherence to safety and risk‑management policies are required.
Incumbents must stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lb independently (or 50 lb with assistance) while working in all weather conditions. The role may require occasional travel to other properties, training, or meetings, and a flexible schedule that includes on‑call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Safety training and participation in routine safety meetings are mandatory.
Compensation includes a base salary with eligibility for quarterly or annual bonus programs, depending on corporate or onsite positions.
