Oversee drilling activities and log soil samples.
Perform soil and groundwater sampling for subsurface assessment and remediation projects.
Implement Atlas’ health and safety policies and procedures.
Travel locally to project sites in Phoenix and throughout Arizona using a company vehicle.
Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables.
Assist with cost estimating and procurement of equipment and parts.

Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions, from the snow in Northern Arizona to hot summers throughout Arizona.
Ability to travel, primarily within Arizona (average 80%).
Positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary professional team.
The ideal candidate will have good technical and organizational skills and be able to learn from and work with our Senior Environmental Field Technician, Project Managers and work independently when assigned project tasks with limited supervision.
Candidate must also be able to pass a standard drug screen and motor vehicle background check.
Candidate must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., several times per day.
Preferred candidate will be 40-hour HAZWOPER trained.
Candidate must possess the ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision and as part of a professional team to meet organization and project objectives.

Willingness to be cross trained for other environmental assignments, as needed.
Ability to work efficiently and independently.
Preference will be given to candidates with vocational training in electrical or construction, former drillers, those individuals working towards or have obtained an associate’s degree in Environmental and/or Water Resources Technology, or a high school diploma with at least one year of applicable experience in a similar role with an environmental or engineering consulting firm.
Candidate should be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel) and possess good communication skills.
Position includes the performance of soil, vapor, and groundwater sampling; stormwater compliance sampling; willingness to be cross trained for mold and indoor air quality investigations for private and public sector clients.
Willingness to learn United States Environmental Protection Agency and State of Arizona environmental regulations and standard field procedures and methodologies related to site investigation, remediation, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental compliance projects.
