You will act as a design authority for engineering disciplines of low to medium complexity, completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger ones in a cost‑effective manner while applying basic design thinking and design‑for‑excellence concepts.
Key duties include on‑site robot debugging, system commissioning, functional programming, process debugging, achieving process parameters and quality targets for Body‑in‑White lines, interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, independently simulating new robot models, and managing supplier resources to meet line buy‑off KPIs.
- Act as design authority for low‑to‑medium complexity engineering projects.
- Complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects cost‑effectively.
- Apply basic design thinking and design‑for‑excellence concepts.
- Perform on‑site robot debugging, system commissioning, functional programming, and process troubleshooting.
- Achieve process parameters, body quality, and line cycle time for Body‑in‑White lines (spot welding, sealant/dispensing, roller hemming, material handling, basic vision).
- Read electrical and mechanical drawings, conduct vision system measurements, and independently complete new robot model simulations.
- Manage supplier resources (robot programmers) to meet line buy‑off KPIs.
- Monitor projects from execution through final acceptance (FAC).

The role requires a B.E. or Diploma in Paint Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 8–10 years of industrial automation experience, strong hands‑on expertise with Kawasaki and ABB robots, proficiency in robot programming and simulation tools, and solid skills in engineering design software, BiW line operations, industrial network protocols, and electrical troubleshooting, alongside excellent communication, a customer‑focused mindset, and a self‑starter attitude.
- Hold a B.E. or Diploma in Paint Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 8–10 years of industrial automation experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Kawasaki robots and solid knowledge of ABB robots.
- Proficient in robot programming, simulation, and integration using K‑ROSET, RobotStudio, and RCS.
- Skilled in Process Simulate, AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks.
- Experience with BiW lines in OEM/Tier‑1 environments (spot/MIG welding, sealing, roller hemming).
- Familiar with DeviceNet, Ethernet, Profinet, and electrical troubleshooting in robot‑based automation cells.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer‑focused collaboration skills.
- Self‑starter, team player, willing to travel and continuously learn new technologies.
