As an active member of the regional team, you will present findings at project meetings, provide technical advice on complex planning and development issues, and liaise with clients from pre-planning through to delivery. There will also be opportunities to contribute to business development, client care, and team growth.
You will play a key role in delivering arboricultural services across environmental and planning projects. Your primary responsibility will be to produce arboricultural planning material including Arboricultural Impact Assessments, BS5837 reports, Arboricultural Method Statements, Tree Constraints Plans, and Tree Retention/Removal Plans.
You will manage a diverse portfolio of projects from start to finish, supporting the Environmental Practice Director and working closely with the wider environmental team. This includes attending surveys, analysing data, undertaking tree risk assessments, and implementing arboricultural mitigation measures in line with project requirements.

Membership of the Arboricultural Association (TechArborA or higher desirable).
Academic qualification in arboriculture or relevant environmental discipline (Level 3 minimum: FdSc Arb, HNC Arb, AA Tech Cert, NDip Arb).
Positive, enthusiastic, and aligned with company values, with the ability to engage well with clients and colleagues.
Competent in hazard assessment, identifying pathogens, assessing tree physiology, and preparing technical drawings (AutoCAD/KeyTree).
Experience mentoring junior team members (desirable)
Strong BS5837 consultancy skills and understanding of its application within planning.
Good organisational, management, and project/client-handling skills.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in arboricultural consultancy.
Working towards LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection (PTI) certificate (desirable).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent report writing ability.
Working knowledge of arboricultural and wildlife legislation, planning policy, and industry survey methodologies.
