Watch for hazards and report any concerns to your supervisor or safety professional
Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Attend site specific training and assure you follow all procedures as out lined in training . Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment . Use effective verbal and written communication skills
Engage with your work team to ensure we achieve zero injuries
Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and strait edge
Work around hazardous equipment.
Apply hardening and sealing compound to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface
If needed, use your stop work authority until the issue is resolved . Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor; participate in investigation process as needed . Participate in all pre-job work planning and safety discussions
Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.
Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately . Listen to co-workers suggestions, safety concerns, and recommendations giving full attention to what they are saying and take the time to understand the points being made, asking questions and providing feedback when appropriate

Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.
Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
Must have working knowledge of auto level and transit for accurate layout and verification of finished grade and placement measure, cut, assemble and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts; construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms, according to specifications for molding concrete structures; erect built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms; insert spreaders and tie-rods between opposite pieces to maintain specific dimensions; anchor and brace forms to fixed objects using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks and timber; build wooden structures such as scaffold supports and frame shelters according to specifications and project specifications; pour concrete into finished forms to specified textures; vibrate, level, smooth and shape surface of concrete; finish concrete surfaces to specifications; remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces using power grinder or chisel and hammer and patch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound; and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications . Be familiar with self-leveling underlayment's . Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process . May be asked to assist carpenters, and rod busters with any necessary tasks for the installation of concrete structures . Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested
