Billing Assistant

Description

• Scans source documents as PDFs into the document storage system.
• May transmit digital customer billing invoices to customers and/or upload billing information into customer payment platform.
• Ensure all billing-related documents are properly stored and accessible in accordance with company policies.
• Ensures accurate and complete data is entered appropriately, makes corrections when needed.
• Compares data entered to source documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Enters new and updated customer contracts into system and updates existing customer contracts as needed.
• May gather and summarize supplemental billing information to accommodate customer billing requirements.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team, following directions and offering support where needed.
• Eagerness to learn new skills, adapt to new systems and processes, and possess a positive in a fast-passed environment.
• Willingness to learn and assist in resolving simple billing issues and discrepancies.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a high volume environment.
• Ability to check accuracy and spot errors in billing information.
• 0 - 2 years of experience in entering, maintaining, and validating service and billing data and preparing customer invoices.
