Manipulate and analyze extensive datasets during the model development process, utilizing Python, SQL, Excel, VBA, and other robust statistical/analytical software.
Conduct comprehensive analysis and evaluations of load modifier assessments related to electric vehicles, photovoltaics, heat pumps, DG/CHP, and battery energy storage systems, both from internal departments and external consultants, to facilitate informed decision-making.
Perform emergency/storm duty as needed.
Deliver presentations on forecasting matters; and represent the Company at meetings with the NYISO, New York State Public Service Commission, New York City governmental agencies, and other stakeholders.
Support electric, gas, and steam rate case, budgets, peak demand forecasts, and long-range plans as the expert for the load modifiers and respond to interrogatories regarding their forecast.
Monitor the Companys local and national dynamic energy policies and ensures consistency among forecasts, strategies and plans and keep current with Local Law 97, Local Law 154, and CLCPA policies as they drive forecasts and ensure reflection of policy interpretation in the Companys forecast.
Provide valuable support to the Director of Commodity Forecasting and the Section Manager within the relatively newly established section conducting analysis and forecasting of various load modifiers, including electric vehicles, photovoltaics, heat pumps, DG/CHP, and battery energy storage systems. These forecasts will play a crucial role in supporting electric, gas, and steam projections for CECONY and ORU.
The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Create and prepare spreadsheets, reports, regulatory filings, and testimony.
Collaborate closely with Strategic Planning, Customer Energy Solutions, and Corporate Affairs teams to ensure alignment and consistency across forecasts, policies, strategies, and plans.
